Day 009 - Poem of Remembrance

Wings of an Angel

Sometimes we may not seem to care
Sometimes we may seem forgetful
But we'll all remember deep inside
That morning most regretful
I'd turned my phone to silent thinking
"What could happen o New Year's?"
Yet within the morn' you'd managed
To make a whole town flood with tears
Too soon, though, we'll move on
Too soon we'll forget this day
But - son, scholar, friend and brother -
In our hearts you'll always stay.
